Welcome to the elite classes in Birkebeinerrittet
Entrants that qualify can enter for the elite classes in Birkebeinerrittet August 25th 2012.
Entrants in the elite classes and/or junior elite classes must hold a valid licence issued by a National Federation affiliated to the UCI, which must be presented on registration. If the licence cannot be used as identification, the participant must show another type of identification.
Age division

Senior elite: age minimum 19 years old by 31.12.2012

Junior elite: age 17 or 18 years old by 31.12.2012
Qualification for the elite classes
If you do not have any results from Birkebeinerrittet 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 or 2011 please send results to seeding@birkebeiner.no to check if you qualify to start in the elite classes.
Entry fee
NOK 920,-. Online registration opens in May 2012.

You will find two start numbers in the start pack envelope. One must be attached to the handlebars as shown, the other on your back. Please use the short cable ties to attach the bib at the top of the handlebars and the long cable tie to attach the bottom of the bib. The timing chip MUST be worn on your left ankle. No timing chip = No time.
Registration
All participants in the elite classes have to register and pick up a timing chip Saturday August 25th. Please pick up your race packet first and meet outside Åmot Kulturhus.

Course
The Elite track for men closes 45 minutes after the winner has past the finish line. Participants who arrive after this time will be directed into the regular track.
