Prizes/awards Birkebeinerløpet

All entrants completing the race will receive a specially designed participation
pin. Prizes for the three best competitors in each class will be delivered from the stage inside Håkons Hall. 

For the precious Birkebeinerløpet pin there is a time limit based on the average
time of the top 5 cyclists plus 25%, worked out separately for each class.

Time Diploma

All the competitors will get a diploma that shows their time at each split time and their finish time.

 

Prizes

In each class prizes will be awarded to approximately 25% of the number of starters.
However, no prize if the finishing time is not within the “Birkebeiner medal” maximum time.

 

Finish prizes for men and women in Birkebeinerløpet

1. placing	NOK 10.000,-
2. placing	NOK   5.000,-
3. placing	NOK   2.500,-

 

For the precious "Birkebeiner Medal" (merket)

There is a time limit based on the average time of the top 5 competitors plus 25%, worked out separately for each class. Participants finishing inside the limit for
the first time will receive a diploma and the "Birkebeiner Medal" silver pin.  

Birkebeiner Medals "Merker"

No medals are given at the 2nd, 3th, 4th, 6th, 7th an so on.  

Birkebeiner of the year/Super Birkebeiner - The Birkebeiner Triple

Participants completing the ski race Birkebeinerrennet, the mountain bike race Birkebeinerrittet, and the cross country running race Birkebeinerløpet in one year will be awarded the title ”Birkebeiner of the year”, and those who finish within the 25% time limit in all three events will be a ”Superbirkebeiner”.
