No Russian or Belarusian participation in Birken
As for 2022, Birken has decided not to allow Russian or Belarusian participation in Birken 2023 and 2024 due to the ongoing and over the last 12 months deepening conflict in Ukraine.
”Together with other long-distance race organizers, we have jointly decided not to remove the ban that was introduced in February 2022 upon Belarusian and Russian Pro Teams and Athletes.”
